WRITER'S REUNION

Dinner & Guests

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Speakers will be previous speakers and other notables from past meetings

*******************************************************************************************

_____________________________________________________________________

The Tuscarawas County Writers' Guild invites you to attend our next meeting, September 21.

We will holding genre groups all evening, which means you can meet with authors who share interests in your kind of writing.  We encourage members or guests to bring a 3-5 page snippet of their work (5 copies each) to be read & critiqued by the group.  We help you sharpen your skills by pointing out your strengths and weaknesses.  We are fair, kind, and honest with our critiquing.  So if you would like some help or opinion on your current work, bring it with you!  Or you may just sit on a session for a fellow writer.  If no one brings a story to be critiqued, we will have a brain-building exercise.  Regardless of your level of involvement, you're sure to learn something and have a great time!

Don't forget to bring a snack for our "mini-buffet."

We'll see you at the usual time and place!

Writers Weekly Summer Story Writing Contest
      noted by Joe McLaughin

Hey, Everyone!  Summer is slipping away, and the Writers Weekly Summer Story Writing
Contest begins THIS SATURDAY at Noon!

Go to www.writersweekly.com to find complete details of the 24 HOUR EVENT.

Briefly, it only costs $5 to enter, and you'll be writing for more than $1,000 in prizes.
To get you started,  Angela Hoy will give you a prompt to direct you down the winner's road.
I've found it 's not hard to come up with a maximum of 850-900 words in a couple of hours and participation has stimulated my other writing.

Tip: Create a character you can develop to appear in future stories. One of mine has now been in 4 stories and we're all learning more about him.

Go to the current Writers Weekly, study everything carefully,  and follow directions to your red hot writing project.

Good Luck to All!

P.S. I've already won two "grab bag" prizes just for enrtering!
